The purpose of the Frozen Funds Charitable Trust is to provide grants for projects run by, and for, people who use mental health or intellectual disability services.
Proposed projects must be:
- Applied for by charitable organisation or by charitable organisations on behalf of individuals or groups without charitable status
- Directed by people who use, or have used, mental health or intellectual disability services
- Completed within a finite period

This programme supports scientific and technological co-operation between New Zealand and French researchers in the public, non-government and private sectors. Funding is worth up to NZD $80,000 for up to two years.

The Laura Bassi Scholarship, which awards a total of $8,000 thrice per annum, was established by Editing Press in 2018 with the aim of providing editorial assistance to postgraduates and junior academics whose research focuses on neglected topics of study, broadly construed. The scholarships are open to every discipline. All currently enrolled master’s and doctoral candidates are eligible to apply, as are academics in the first five years of their employment. Applicants are required to submit a completed application form along with their CV through the application portal by the relevant deadline.

Each year, the Banking and Financial Services Law Association (BFSLA) invites citizens and permanent residents of Australia and New Zealand to submit research essays on important matters in banking and financial services (including insolvency) law and/or practice that are currently topical in Australia or New Zealand, in competition for a prize pool.
The BFSLA is the leading professional organisation for banking and financial services law in Australia and New Zealand. The BFSLA’s objects include the pursuit and dissemination of knowledge of banking and financial services law and practice in Australia and New Zealand, including by encouraging research.
Entries will be reviewed on a blind basis.

The Ngarimu VC and 28th (Māori) Battalion Scholarship Fund Board was established for the purposes of administering funds that promoted Māori education. Scholarships have been awarded to applicants who have demonstrated excellence in their chosen field of study and have competencies consistent with ngā taonga tuku iho o ngā tīpuna (Māori language, history, tradition, and culture), thereby encouraging the maintenance of these taonga.
For the 2025 academic year, the the Ngarimu VC and 28th (Māori) Battalion Scholarship Fund Board will award 9 scholarships for a total value of up to $200,000.
- 3 vocational education and training (VET) scholarships, each valued at $10,000 for study of a minimum of 120 credits at level 5 to 7 non-degree.
- 3 undergraduate scholarships, each valued up to $30,000: $10,000 per year of full-time study for up to 3 years.
- 1 Master's scholarship valued up to $20,000: $10,000 per year of full-time study for up to 2 years.
- 1 Master of Education research scholarship valued up to $20,000: $10,000 per year of full-time study, for up to 2 years.
- 1 doctoral scholarship valued up to $40,000: $20,000 per year of full-time study for up to 2 years.

Applications to the Acorn Foundation Jann Medlicott Creative Arts Scholarship are facilitated by Creative Bay of Plenty.
Award value: $5,000

- A brief portfolio of creative work (this can be in video format);
- A succinct statement outlining your experience, ability and reasons for applying, as well as the impact the scholarship is likely to have on you and how it could benefit the local community in future; and
- Two testimonials from relevant referees.
Criteria:
- Applicants must be undertaking or about to commence further study in preparation for a career in creative arts.
- Applicants must provide evidence that they are engaged in, or have been accepted for, an advanced study programme or specialised course in the arts.
Applicants must have:
- Received at least part of their secondary education in Tauranga or the Western Bay of Plenty district; and/or
- Currently reside in Tauranga or the Western Bay of Plenty District.

Each year the Foundation offers grants of up to $3,000 to help with research into Asia-related themes. The grants are aimed at supporting new research and domestic fieldwork, which will in turn promote debate and discussion on matters relating to Asia and New Zealand, with implications for foreign and trade policy.

Associated New Zealand Myalgic Encephalomyelitis Society (ANZMES) is the national advisory body for Myalgic encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), in New Zealand, recently also extending our support to people with Long COVID. One of our constitutional objectives is to promote and invest in ME/CFS-focussed research and we are now in a position to offer a new research funding Programme.

The Our Seas Our Future Charitable Trust recognises the value of scientific research in contributing to, and advancing, the collective understanding of our coastal and marine ecosystems. We understand the key to good research is the love of a subject and recognition of achievements, but also funding to enable research excellence. OSOF has established a contestable research scholarship for New Zealand based postgraduate students undertaking research in the areas of Marine Science related to any of our core brands: Fisheries(SSN), Pollution(PFNZ0, Marine Protected Areas(MMR), or Climate Change(CAN).
