This series of three workshops provides school leaders with the opportunity to engage in collaborative sense-making and planning to develop school-wide approaches to numeracy in their context. Sessions include:
- Designing and developing a school wide approach to numeracy that best serves the identified needs of our community.
- Creating clear goals and designing associated learning pathways for key stakeholders to realise these goals.
- Implementing change that builds internal leader and teacher capability and delivers success for all learners.
Functional numeracy refers to the ability to access, use, interpret, and communicate mathematical and statistical information and ideas. These abilities enable learners to access further learning opportunities, engage in employment, and participate in communities within the bicultural society that is Aotearoa New Zealand.
