Financial Capability

Financial capability education is connected with entrepreneurship and learners’ future economic contribution. Successful financial capability practices in New Zealand schools require; authentic learning opportunities in contexts of interest to students, connectivity with financial community at local and regional levels - teacher capability and school leadership are critical for effectiveness (ERO, 2011).

• We can support teachers to develop innovative and authentic contexts for the integration of financial capability into teaching and learning.
• We can facilitate teachers to have improved capability and direct access to resources to enable them to facilitate financial capability with their learners.
