The Fehl Charitable Trust (FCT) Scholarship in Music was established in 2023 through generous support from The Fehl Charitable Trust, provided through a relationship with the University of Waikato Foundation. The FCT was founded in 1987 by Peter and Rae Fehl with the principal objectives being the promotion of the arts, the relief of poverty, advancement of education and other charitable purposes that are beneficial to the community.
Eligibility
Up to four scholarships will be awarded each year to students who are enrolled full time (120-points) in their second year or above of an undergraduate degree or any year of postgraduate study in Music at the University of Waikato in the year of tenure, who are facing financial hardship.
