This paper continues to develop students' skills and confidence to read for, research and write the written assignments required in most university papers, and to participate effectively in lectures, tutorials and seminars. Relevant organisational, study and computer skills will be taught as needed. The paper begins at levels appropriate to the experience and background of students enrolled. It places emphasis on Maori and Pacific communicators.
