The paper introduces basic algebraic concepts and statistics within a Maori and Pacific context and is intended to enable students to cope with the mathematics and statistics taught within papers in the Schools of Maori and Pacific Development, Management, Education, and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. The paper is also designed to lead in to one of MATH165, MATH168 or STAT121.
