This paper involves theory, informed experimentation and practice. It is designed to provide the student with basic knowledge of key aspects of colour in design, how we 'see' colour; the ability to predict the results of colour mixtures using subtractive and additive systems; an awareness of symbolic and illusionary effects; and the use of colour in art design history.
