"When I first applied to study at Waikato, the reply was fast, and the communication was great! Studying at Waikato is just how I imagined it: culturally diverse, with a great mix of International students and a strong sense of Indigenous belonging.

"The history of New Zealand and the Māori knowledge that I am learning is a great inspiration for me in my field of study. The support I receive is excellent. The special orientation for Manaaki scholars is very helpful and makes me adjust faster to university life.

"I enjoy studying here and appreciate all the support and discussion with all my lectures inside and outside the class. On top of that, I learned a great work-life balance here: I’m a full-time student, but I enjoy my time travelling and volunteering during the study break.
