Changes in data collection

This aggregated evaluation data is presented to provide University, Faculty and Departmental benchmarks around paper quality. Please note that the data presented is for paper evaluations only, and includes no teacher evaluation information.

The mean and standard deviations are calculated from Q7 on the paper evaluation:

“Overall, this paper provided me with a good learning experience.”.

The data does not include information from Unit, University of Waikato College or the Centre for Corporate and Executive Education.

Evaluation data is obtained via self-selected sampling and cannot be assumed to have a high degree of statistical accuracy. Data may be less reliable when the number of responses is small, and are not necessarily comparative across subjects from different disciplines. The University values both qualitative and quantitative evaluation data, and recommends that quantitative data is read in conjunction with qualitative comments.
