UTSNZ Tertiary Tournaments

Represent the University of Waikato and compete against other New Zealand Universities and Tertiary Institutions in the UTSNZ National Tertiary Sport Championships.

We are looking for the best athletes to represent the University of Waikato, and all teams will be selected at trials. The Sport Team will organise the entire trip and head away with the team to the tournament. Tauranga students, please contact uowsport@waikato.ac.nz if you are wanting to trial for UTSNZ events but you are having difficulties in attending due to them being based at the Hamilton campus.

A Trimester Schedule 2023

You must be enrolled in A Trimester to be eligible to play in these tournaments.

You must be enrolled in A or B Trimester to be eligible to play in these tournaments.

Student Athlete Commission

The UTSNZ Student Athlete Commission aims to allow the voice of the student-athlete to be effectively communicated with the organisation. It provides advice to the UTSNZ Executive about issues of student sport participation and achievement, and the development of UTSNZ. The Commission also helps to build awareness of UTSNZ within member students groups and to implement student-focused initiatives.

Abby Crane (Bachelor of Nursing) currently holds the Student Athlete Commission Representative position for University of Waikato. If you have any ideas or feedback that you'd like to be put forward for discussion you can share them by contacting uowsport@waikato.ac.nz.
