Sport and Wellbeing Map - 5km track
The Sport and Wellbeing Map shows the locations of all key facilities and the 5km track that is used weekly on Saturdays for the University of Waikato parkrun.

Start: Village green
Approximate time: Sub-20 minutes for faster runners and 50 minutes for walkers.
Km 1 From start clockwise loop around Oranga Lake, then past Village Green (on lakeside track) and head clockwise along southern side of Knighton Lake (past Academy) to Fitness Island, start of sports field track.
Km 2 Run sports field track to near School of Education building.
Km 3 Head past Village Green (on lakeside track) and head clockwise along southern side of Knighton Lake (past Academy) to near Knighton-Ruakura Road junction.
Km 4 Complete sports field track and head past Village Green (on lakeside track) and along southern side of Knighton Lake (past Academy) and then sharp right before Gate 2b car park, along northern side of Lakes (Knighton and Oranga) and back to lakeside track by start. To finish, after Village Green loop sharp left around trees and back to finish shute.
This course is used for the University of Waikato parkrun. Parkrun is a free weekly timed event, held every Saturday at 8am. Run briefing is at 7:50am. Everyone is welcome to walk, jog or run the 5k course.
First timers need to register for parkrun.
