This paper is the third in a series that is designed to support students' growth as practitioners in the area of professional and ethical inquiry. It includes advocacy, equity and children's rights in relation to transition to school. The paper is designed to examine the coherence of curriculum across early childhood and school, and to critically analyse the phrases 'preparation for school' and 'readiness for school'.
