This paper develops a critical understanding of the roles, responsibilities and leadership theory and practices of school principals. Participants will gain an understanding of the place of the National Education Guidelines and develop the skills and knowledge to be able to implement schoolwide systems in curriculum management, personnel management, financial management, property management, and school review and operational planning. This paper can be an induction to Principalship or for aspiring school leaders.
