This paper gives students the opportunity to undertake a close reading of a major recent work in philosophy and develop critical responses to it in discussions and in essays. The book which will be discussed in 2008 is Carolyn Korsmeyer's Making Sense of Taste: Food and Philosophy (Cornell University Press).
