This paper allows students to explore professional studio production roles and experience working within, and as part of a studio ecology. Students learn to communicate and work in a controlled live production space comprising of a control (live editing) booth and studio floor (green screen, operating studio pedestal mounted cameras & lighting rig). Studio production increases the complexity, organization and combination of specialised roles required for a variety of film productions. The paper has direct application to future work prospects in film and television studio environments.
