This paper will pursue the theme of 'the medieval and medievalism', studying the inventive ways, since the time of Geoffrey Chaucer at the close of the 1300s, the idea of the medieval has been reinvented and reprocessed, from Malory through Spenser and, in modern times, in the works of T.H.White and J.R.R.Tolkien.
