This paper will focus on research in design. It will consider conceptual and perceptual approaches to contemporary issues arising from post-structuralism, globalisation, regionalism and nationalism, collaborative practice and the development of new technologies. Research methods will focus on the role of research in the implementation of visual design in directed individual studies.
