For this paper and industry/community group will present an arena for competition where an authentic skill set or other aspect of creative production may be tested. This may be a creative project that needs to be developed, involving also such aspects as website construction, building of a prototypes, etc. In some cases the cohort can be formed into independent teams that compete to develop the best solution for the area in competition. The teams will need to consult with the workplace/community group to gather more information if required. The end production is then developed and presented to the workplace/community group who will analysis and select on solution for implementation. Unsuccessful teams will have their production judged on merits.

A key element must be that the area presented for the students to compete in is a recognized area of authentic expertise with clear relevance to a future career trajectory.
