Meningococcal vaccines are available at Student Health Kirikiriroa-Hamilton.
Meningococcal B (Bexsero)
- Meningococcal B (Bexsero) is given as 2 doses 8 weeks apart, this is free for NZ resident students living in the halls who are under 25.
- Meningococcal B (Bexsero) is also recommended for all young people and is available for purchase at a cost of $135 + nurse fee*, per dose, for those not living in the halls or international students.
Meningococcal ACWY (MenQuadFi or Menactra)
- Meningococcal ACWY (MenQuadFi or Menactra) is given as a single dose, this is free for 1st year NZ resident students living in the halls who are under 25.
- Meningococcal ACWY (MenQuadFi or Menactra) is also recommended for all young people and is available for purchase at a cost of $130 + nurse fee*, per dose, for those not living in the halls or international students.
*Nurse fee = $0 if enrolled at student health.
