The University of Waikato Foundation - Te Pou Taunaki

The University of Waikato Foundation - Te Pou Taunaki - is an independent charitable trust, formed to support and fund the strategic objectives of the University.

The Foundation serves as the mechanism for philanthropy allowing the University to receive donations and bequests. It is tasked with ensuring all funds donated to the University are managed, invested, and disbursed appropriately. Every single dollar raised goes directly towards helping students achieve their potential and to maximise the economic and social impact of the University. Funds may be designated for a specific purpose or provided to the University to allocate in a manner that maximises their impact. Specific areas for support include Scholarships and Prizes, student hardship support, research, enriching the campus experience of the Endowment Fund. Naming rights to university buildings and facilities are also managed by the Foundation.
