Welcome! Nāu mai! Ko tā mātou he whakaratonga hauora ki te hunga akonga kua whakaurua ki Te Whare Wananga.
Our services acknowledge the mana whenua of Kīngi Tuheitia and te whānau Kāhui Āriki. Built upon the whenua of Ngāti Wairere, Student Health’s culturally diverse team of experts embody Tā Mason Durie's Te Whare Tapa Wha model of practice. Our intention is for an integrated service were ngā taha hīnengaro, wairua, tīnana and whānau can be supported and enhanced for tauira during their studies.
Hamilton campus
Students have access to a range of health services provided on and near Hamilton campus.
Located by the Gate 1 carpark, our Student Health Centre offers services to all current UoW students. These services include:
- GP services
- mental health nurses
- counsellors
- violence prevention
- health promotions
- chaplaincy
- and more.

Tauranga campus
At our Tauranga campus, we have our own campus nurse to help with any health issues you may have. They are located on Level 1, room 1.25, behind the Hub. This service is free to students.
Students also have access to other health services such as physio, counselling, violence prevention and GP services through external providers. Some of these services are provided at a discounted rate with referral from our campus nurse.
