Nerdfest is a technology showcase event hosted by the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Waikato.

The purpose is to provide hands-on demonstrations for an interested audience of the range of exciting and relevant research and activities that Computer Scientists, Software Engineers, Designers and Mathematicians are involved in....it's not just sitting at a computer. There will be opportunities to talk to our academic staff about our on-going projects, career pathways and programmes that can help get people where they want to be. Showcasing a mixture of demonstrations, activities, exhibits and information, there will be a variety of things to interest new and experienced ‘nerds’.
